A doll’s house

– NORA: What do you consider my most sacred duties?
– HELMER: Do I need to tell you that? Are they not your duties to your husband and your children?
– NORA: I have other duties that are just as sacred.
– HELMER: That you have not. What duties could those be?
– NORA: Duties to myself.
More current than ever, this masterpiece, in the hands of Anne Schwaller, brilliantly illustrates that reason is not on the side of the strongest but on the side of those who know how to belong entirely to themselves in order to belong entirely to others.
