No trifling with love

What is love anyway? What is commitment? Something to be experienced, certainly. And questions that persist throughout time, constantly renewed. But in the face of modern age, with its dating sites, Hollywood romanticism, and gender issues, Jean Liermier reshuffles the cards written by Musset and lowers the masks: “I’ve suffered a lot, I’ve been wrong a few times, but I have loved. It is I who have lived, and not an artificial being created by my pride and my boredom.

By Alfred de Musset
