There are three actors, whom we met during the creation of Fantasio at TKM Théâtre Kléber-Méleau in Renens. Three actors who passionately love acting, and who love theatre that brings people together, adventurous theatre that transcends borders. They wanted to make theatre with few means, where a hand gives rise to a valley and a word to an ocean. So they came up with a famous tale that their new troupe wanted to tell differently, so that curiosity – the true heroine – would not end up punishing anyone. In Perrault’s tale, the young wife doesn’t respect Bluebeard’s ban on opening the door of a small cabinet and finds herself horribly punished as a result. In Vous avez dit Barbe Bleue? there’s no feminine drama. The doors all open, leading to a variety of characters, legends, and worlds.
