Beautiful Things

This year, our amateur theatre troupe invites us into a secret garden where each performer tends to their own art of living.
A garden – a quiet refuge amid the noise – where we can once again marvel at the beauty of the world. A space where time is rediscovered, allowing us to tell those fleeting stories, those tiny epiphanies that bring a sparkle to everyday life. Expect dialogues with the unseen, reimagined childhood dreams, the smell of pancakes, verses by Racine, young ballet dancers, a Claudette escaped from a 1970s dance routine, a voyage at sea, doppelgängers, an original flamenco performance, a visit from Marcel Proust and of course, music!

About the Amateur Theatre Company

For a number of years, the Théâtre de Carouge and the Commune of Chêne-Bourg have been working together to give anyone who wants an opportunity to discover the practice of theatre and to go behind the scenes of a production: writing, readings, improvisations, scene work, etc. will all lead to the stage in Carouge and at the Point Favre.
At the Théâtre de Carouge, the troupe is supervised by Nathalie Cuenet, Xavier Cavada and Valérie Poirier, all of whom are keen to pass on their passion for the theatre, so that they can share their passion and discover new things in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

After We have to live!, their last production based on Tchekhov, the Théâtre Amateur troupe is embarking on a new long-term adventure this year: Beautiful Things.
