When should the tickets be distributed?
Why not hand out the tickets to the pupils in class, to encourage them to take responsibility and allow you to seat them as you wish? If you’re worried that some pupils might lose or forget their tickets, you can, of course, hand them out at the theatre – ideally in the square in front of the building. The seats are numbered: please ask the pupils to go to the seat indicated on their ticket. The grass isn’t greener on the other side – there are only good seats at the Théâtre de Carouge.
Arriving at the theatre
Please arrange for your pupils to arrive at the theatre in good time (ideally 30 minutes before the show begins) to allow for any issues with watches, trams, heartbreak (this list is not exhaustive) …
Pupils should ideally enter the auditorium 15 to 10 minutes before the show begins.
You arrive at the theatre
Please let the box office know that you’re coming (we look forward to welcoming you!).
If you’re running late, please ring the box office on +41 22 343 43 43 (so we don’t give your seats to someone else!)
If a pupil is late
If a pupil is late, you can hand in their ticket, with their name on it, at the box office. Provided the show allows it, and up to a certain point, we will let them into the auditorium. After that, they will unfortunately miss the show of a lifetime.
Food, drinks and chewing gum in the Auditorium
Food and drink are not permitted in the auditorium, nor is chewing gum (the new seats and the usher will thank you for it!)
Mobile phones: mobile phones must be switched off (not on silent mode or text mode).
Your point of contact in the auditorium
Please follow the instructions and guidance given by the head of the auditorium and the ushers. Of course, the auditorium staff are also on hand to answer any questions you may have!
Educational programs
Classroom presentations, theatre tours, workshops and meetings with artists: the team at the Théâtre de Carouge is attentive to the needs of pupils and teaching staff and offers tailor-made educational support.
