    \n A French aviator crashes in a remote desert landscape. As he attempts to repair his aircraft, he encounters a young boy. They do not speak the same language, yet their hearts understand one another. In this production, the Little Prince is Chinese. Antoine de Saint-Exup\u00e9ry\u2019s novel resonates in both French and Mandarin, interwoven with live music. A very small Little Prince appears, alongside an elderly man reciting thousand-year-old poems, and then\u2026 a rose, a fox and a host of strange galactic inhabitants. The theatre stage becomes a place of boundless fantasy and imagination, carrying the promise of every possible friendship.

    This exceptional production is the result of an encounter between Jean Bellorini and Yang Hua Theatre, one of the few art-theatre production companies in China. After directing an adaptation of Les Mis\u00e9rables<\/em> by Victor Hugo and driven by a desire to deepen artistic exchange and collaboration, Bellorini conceived a form in which theatre and song merge seamlessly. French actors Fran\u00e7ois Deblock and Marc Plas, long-time collaborators, join the journey. Through original compositions performed by singers from China\u2019s independent music scene, the story of The Little Prince is heard anew, transformed and illuminated by the extraordinary humanity that animates it. <\/div>\n
